As CLIMATTERS’ President and Chief Executive Officer, Chukwuma leads the strategic direction of the organization, oversees operations in the Abuja office, and coordinates collaborative efforts with our affiliate organizations across the globe. Previously, Chukwuma designed new projects and conservation strategies as our Director of Programs. He has also worked on conservation, renewable energy, sustainable development, policy issues with major NGOs in Nigeria and Liberia.

Emmanuel designs programmes, manages conservation and sustainable livelihood intervention projects and coordinates project implementation with our partners. Before coming to CLIMATTERS, Emmanuel is a professional with over 10 years’ cumulative experience in field research, environmental sustainability, energy demand, sustainable human development and banking operations. Importantly, he is adept in multi sector evaluations including renewable energy, sustainable gas to power, water and sanitation, waste management, forest conservation. In addition, Emmanuel is frequently hired as a consultant to provide support in specified areas such as conducting baseline studies, drafting project progress reports, organising workshops and media briefs, conducting stakeholder mapping, drafting communication and advocacy materials, producing content for publications, collecting and analysing data. He has strong academic foundation; holds a Master of Science degree in Energy and Environmental Management from Glasgow Caledonian University, UK and Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Chemical Engineering from Federal University of Technology, Owerri.

Catherine is responsible for managing CLIMATTERS’ administrative, finance, accounting and human resources functions, including management of internal control systems, the annual budget process, preparation of all internal and external financial reports. She also oversees the annual audit process and manages the staff’s benefits and payroll. Prior to working with CLIMATTERS, Catherine was the Administrative Officer at Trend Data Management, Ibadan, where she helped build the financial and operational infrastructure, via implementation of processes, tools and controls. Before Trend Data Management, she was among the research team that produced a report on “Commercial Bank Lending and Agricultural Performance in Nigeria 1980 – 2010”, published in 2014 on Babcock Journal of Economics, Banking and Finance (BJEBF). She received her Master of Science degree in Banking and Finance from the prestigious University of Ibadan and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Babcock University.

Ifeoma leads the conservation strategy for the organization and coordinates programmes and projects at CLIMATTERS’ Lagos office. Previously, Ifeoma worked as a Hunam Resource Officer with about four years of comprehensive experience in the Consulting sector, overseeing a broad generalist human resources functions, including recruitment and retention; workforce development and absence management; benefit administration, Accounting and performance management; Employee Relations and General Administration Skills. She contributed to the development of her company, through her designated portfolio of clients and with the identification and approach of new opportunities on the market. She also served at Lagos State Ministry of Environment in 2012, as the climate change pioneer, who projected the adverse effects of climate change and awareness creation in practical and tutorial format to her designated target audience, who were predominantly students in Lagos state. Ifeoma is a certified member of several professional bodies, including Human Resource Management, from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (C.I.P.M.), Health and Safety at Work Places (H.S.E), ACCESS Nigeria, by Word Bank. She obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Geography from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Chidi works with CLIMATTERS to design and develop strategic responses from the field of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and continues to manage the program. He works very closely with the Senior Programme officer on implementation, research, and learning framework of the projects to develop baseline data for each project component and for all project indicators. Prior to joining CLIMATTERS, he worked in partnership with various oil and gas companies in Portharcourt. He received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, University of Jos.

Vivian serves as the Communication Officer of CLIMATTERS and manages the organization’s communication unit, including generating articles on sustainability for publication in national dailies, screening advocacy documents and tools, handling the traditional and social media advocacy of CLIMATTERS. Prior to starting with CLIMATTERS in 2018, she worked with Pointer Newspaper in Owerri Imo State, focusing on community planning and sustainable development projects. She is an Educationist, a Communicator, a Photo Journalist, a Reporter and News Writer. She holds a recommendation letter from the Pointer Newspaper where she did her one year mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Programme and also got an award of Excellence from the board of directors (NYSC) at the end of her service year. She obtained is a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Customer Relationship Management from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and a member, Chartered Institute of Customer Relationship Management (CIRCM). She also obtained a B.Sc, B.ED. in Adult Education (Mass communication Option), from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. She is the founder of a Girl Child Foundation called the ‘ROYAL DAUGTHERS’ whose main interest is the training and formation of the Girl Child for a better future.

Susan works with CLIMATTERS as a volunteer. She interfaces with the media for the organisation’s media engagements. With her vast experience on media sector from the famous African Independent Television (AIT), she plans publicity strategies and campaigns, writing and producing presentations and press releases, dealing with enquiries from the public, the press, and related organisations. She also oversees and attends promotional events, such as press conferences, energy expos, open days, exhibitions, tours and visits. Susan also works with DAAR Communications PLC, Abuja as Program/Social Media Officer, responsible for creating social media contents, publish content on AIT social media platforms,  monitor, listen and respond to followers, editing programs and station monitoring. She has a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Imo State University, Owerri.
