Amaefula is a Climate Change Expert/Environmental Activist.
He was trained in Arava Institute of Environmental Studies, Israel in May 2016 on Renewable Energy as a Catalyst for Regional Development and was also conferred with the status of a Climate Reality Leader in November 2014, upon his successful training in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Climate Change by Climate Reality Project, a US-based Non-Governmental Organization chaired by former US Vice President, Al Gore.

Amaefula is a Climate Change Expert/Environmental Activist. Amaefula served as a Senior Programme/Research Assistant at Centre for Social Justice (CSJ), Abuja. He was involved in the joint intervention of CSJ and Heinrich Boell Stiftung, a German Green Foundation in the Green Deal Nigeria Project. He is a member of Global Network that champions the course of Climate Change and Renewable Energy. He has been using various platforms; including writing numerous articles in the national dailies, radio talk-shows, television appearances, town hall meetings, form climate clubs in schools, climate street marches, the traditional and social media etc to keep creating prompt and educative awareness to the public and engaging the policy makers on policy dialogues about Climate Change and Renewable Energy and Forest Conservation. He led the first ever Abuja Climate March in November, 2015 in support of COP 21 in Paris and brought the attention of the National Assembly to take action on Climate Change, including investing in Renewable Energy.

Amaefula holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and a Certificate in Renewable Energy from the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies, Israel and a prospective postgraduate student of Climate Science, Adaptation and Mitigation at Yale University, USA.
